a blast of fun January 17, 2010 Genifer K. Curran (St. Louis, MO United States) Made bath time, fun time. Were amazing stocking stuffers and now I am ordering more for the Easter Baskets at this price. Stock up now!!!
Another disappointed user January 17, 2010 mrskatie (Raleigh, NC) I have 4 kids and thought these would be loved in the tub. Like a lot of other people have already stated, the color is hardly visible (works best on dry skin, but it's hard to keep skin dry in the tub ;-) ) and it irritated one of my son's skin.
Great concept, poor product.
Kids both had welts after using this product January 12, 2010 Christy L. Gordon (Muncie, Indiana USA) Be very careful. Neither of my kids seem to have sensitive skin, HOWEVER, after using Avon roll on paint, they both get big red welts where the paint has been applied. Be cautious when using and make sure the paint is wiped off right away!
Too Harmful For Children December 27, 2009 Steve Tibbett Our three year old used the Coconut Custard bath paint in his bath tonight. He doesn't have allergies and hasn't reacted to any products in the past, but in the spots where he got this soap on his skin, he broke out in a bright red rash. At first it seemed pretty cool that the paint which came out really watery and not very noticeable was turning a bright cherry red right before our eyes, until we realized he was reacting.
I'd be careful letting children use this and not let them use too much until you know they aren't going to react to it.
Devon will love it! July 4, 2009 Betty L. Dravis (Silicon Valley, CA) Now that I'm preparing for Devon's visit and have him outfitted for the pool, I decided to get this body-paint soap for bath-time fun.
Usually when the little rascal's around I have to keep constant vigilance so he doesn't scribble on Grammy's walls and floor, but with this product I can let his imagination run free as he draws little dogs and cats (squiggly, to be sure) all over his body.
I chose two of each scent: Candy Apple, Bubble Gum, Coconut Custard and Cotton Candy. I couldn't resist sniffing them and I think Bubble Gum is most aromatic. Can't wait to see which he likes best, if, indeed, he does make a choice. Knowing kids of his age, he will most likely choose the COLOR he likes, rather than the scent. But then again, kids of his age seem to grab at everything, so I bet he likes them all equally.
I bet he will be surprised...and happy for this unexpected bit of freedom to be creative without any consequences. I can't wait to see his face as his Picasso persona emerges with every stroke of his fingers...and each splash of bubbly water.
Oh, I can't wait to see the little guy...period.
It's true what Amazon and Avon say in the promotion: each paint-colored soap rolls on and rinses off without fuss. Devon could care less about such things, but Mommy and Grammy do care.
End note: My Kentucky Cousin, Kuz Kay, is an Avon representative, and I was concerned about not buying Avon Bath Time Body Soap Paints for Kids **Scented kids Body paint soaps from her. Thus, I was pleased to learn from the question on the shipping confirmation that Amazon will give your current representative credit. Isn't that an added benefit. Cool.
